I've been experimenting with developing a mixed-reality survival-horror style game utilizing the controller free, gesture based navigation tools I've developed. I this will allow for some very interesting interactions with virtual objects for puzzle solving, combat, etc.

I have always loved the vacuum mechanics in the Nintendo GameCube game “Luigi’s Mansion.” I made this demo to see what those mechanics would feel like in VR. Using Unity, Polyspatial, the XR Hands Api, and a custom control system I created for navigation on the Apple Vision Pro. Check out this demo I’ve created to demonstrate accurate button presses on XR objects. I am using environment meshing to represent the 3d geometry in the real world to place this retro TR-808 drum machine model on the counter. I modified the model to include status lights and then added individual collision detection to each button. I then created a script to detect when the button is “Pressed”.
